(This is to be sung similar to the tune, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.)
Pokey, pokey, cactus green, I don't wonder why you're mean. Standing well on desert dry, Not bothered by heat so high! Repels water without sweat Blossoms nonstop, cold nor wet Knows how to care on its own Stem so rigid like a bone Seen in wild or in a pot, Evil energies it can stop. Can grow flowers up above, Represents a mother's love! It too can be edible, Healthy as a salad bowl. Figs or even dragonfruit, Sweet just like the sound of flutes! Humble plant we so adore, Lives long lives since days of yore. Its features wants to be seen, pokey, pokey, cactus green!
