Plenty of things happened this week that affected markets all around. From the World Economic Forum's annual meeting to purchase of Greenland, markets felt like a tug-of-war.

Gold and Silver continue to rally, as there's no stopping at any point. However, Andreessee Horowitz doesn't think an "AI bubble" will burst, putting $3B on the line. Then again, reports are still uneasy about AI as its job overtaking will be a bit more "pronounced," as Yahoo Finance reports.

This was the day Netflix celebrated 325 million paid subscribers on their platform. Also, announcements about tariffs in Europe with regards to Greenland affected the markets on this day; that explains why it was a terrible day to trade. However, reports say that Strategy bought $2.13 billion worth of Bitcoin in eight days. Given how muddled the digital currency markets have been, we'll see if this bet holds.

As President Trump backtracks on tariffs for Greenland, stocks rise. Integrated AI completely, Apple announces making Siri into a full-on chatbot. Top favorite, Gold, has cooled a little bit on this day after President Trump cited the Greenland Framework with NATO. It was this day where things began looking up after things dipped on Tuesday, knowing that rhetoric, or certain plans/moves, do affect market performance and value overall. Nevertheless, for those who bought the dips on Tuesday had a great Wednesday with the rebound.

Under Armour reports of a data breach with their customer base, which is not a great start to a Thursday. Another bad start is President Trump suing the CEO of JPMorgan, Jamie Dimon, over claims of debanking. For the good, Gold continues to increase as it should. Interesting that on this day, CEO of Google DeepMind reports being surprised that OpenAI's ChatGPT is resorting to ads on their platform. It may be part of the reason why OpenAI is losing money so quickly.

Bit of a rough Friday, as this was also the worst day—week overall—for the US dollar. After concluding World Economic Forum's annual meeting, weather phenomenon is on the front pages. For that, natural gas has spiked due to freezing concerns eastward of the US. More-so, this weather concern may affect data centers and the electrical grid built in such US states. Then again, backups are key, and Western Digital has soared this week to an all-time high.
This week was reflective of Life itself: plenty of ups and downs, as mentioned earlier. There was so much going on this week, it's like focus on thing then another seemed to take place. Running thoughts are active today with regard to discussions at the World Economic Forum, President Trump's willing purchase of Greenland, plus the weather phenomenon putting citizens at the eastside on watch. Reflecting on this week, it was hectic, but reports were all over the place—not forgetting all that's currently happening in Minnesota and country of Iran, per current events. Other than that, I'd also declare this week to be reflective of "doomscrolling": information being presented and reporting tirelessly to the point where our brains can barely process and catch up with what we read, watched and/or listened to. It was a busy week, but not in the most organized way since the focus on certain deals and issues were inconsistent. It was tough knowing where the markets were trying to lead in, despite how mixed it was. I ask you please enjoy your weekends and get plenty of rest because there was too much to take in this week.
Any takeaways you got from the markets after all that went on? Is there any hope for Bitcoin and digital currencies still? After the World Economic Forum's meeting, where you do think markets will be this year? Let's talk about it in the comments section below!
