Going into this week while the government shutdown means anything goes. That doesn't mean that there weren't stocks that performed, but things were interesting. Not much else to say, so let's take a look and see what happened all this week.

What's interesting is the "temperature being brought down" in terms of trade. However, the sad news is the CEO of LendingTree, Doug Lebda, passing away this day. Gold continues to soar sky-high, and rightfully so since investors are gradually moving away from digitial currency. As Yahoo! Finance reports, "Eating out gets pricier as restaurants pass rising costs on to diners." I don't any of us should be surprised at this point.

Stocks rebounded this day, and while there were a few that 'lost,' Tuesday was a good day. One of the news reports that stood out was the "bubble" that's been the talk with regards to AI. Albertsons' earnings were amazing, beating its estimated revenue, having their stocks surge. Also on this day, international trade has left some stocks a bit mixed, but overall, it wasn't too much. However, because markets were operating under a current shutdown of government, jobs data aren't able to be reported.

This day reported that Nestlé cutting 16,000 jobs. While stocks like Micron struck high this day, stocks ended on a lower note. On the topic of Micron, Yahoo! Finance reports that "New York approves power line for Micron's $100B semiconductor plant." Also, Gold is outshining Bitcoin, which explains why digital currency stock has been struggling. Looks as if Halloween season has placed a "scare" toward digital currency investors, looking at metals like Gold to be their saving grace.

Stocks did much better today, albeit a little mixed, but otherwise it was good. For tech, Meta implements parental controls for private chats. While we're on tech, according to Yahoo! Finance, ChatGPT seeks slow download growth and daily use. In addition, Oracle stock has been on the downturn lately, making their option on the bear-ish side. The economic impact of government shutdown is leaking through, from grocery stores to logistics.
There were some days where stocks were mixed, but it's clear that Gold won. Their stock has been hot, and it's doubtful they're going to slow down any time soon. Some of the quantum stocks have been fluctuating like crazy; some days they're the top dog, and other days they plunge. In terms of jobs, Nestlé, so far, has been the company laying off a batch of workers, while claims have gone down, according to JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs. Hard to say since data is unavailable due to the shutdown. Going into the second to last week of this month (already?), I'm looking at a market with more mixed results, while crypto volitality remains. I doubt that retail will have some kind of earnings spike, despite it being Halloween season, but consumer spending won't be enough to see some business spike. Assuming the government shutdown ends some time next week, will markets rebound? Anyway, biggest takeaways here is that Gold is on a winning streak, while digital currency has left investors with plenty of doubt. Currency was the name of the game this week.
