Money Market Review (12/15/2025-12/19/2025)

Looks like crypto continues to run dry. Perhaps, bring the pennies back?

What a weird week. Just when things ended well last week, didn't fare good going into this part of the calendar. It's as if the announcement of a possible rate cut made things worse, yet then again, consumer spending and job openings didn't reflect much of it. On the other hand, there's been a huge surge in prediction markets, showing where consumers are doing their spending. That's telling: and because of consumers running low in cash, they tend to gamble. This is something gambling therapists and psychologists have been mentioning for years, and it's usually not the best course of pursuing, even though plenty of people think it's an easy "get rich" scheme. Anyway, this week was rather 'dry' and is a part of the calendar we can leave behind. Let's show you why.

MONDAY (12/15/2025)

Ondas Holdings, Inc. -12.11%
TeraWulf, Inc. -12.84%
Applied Digital Corporation -17.52%
ReNew Energy Global plc -27.15%

Tough start for Monday toward closing. Speaking of tough, Bitcoin and a handful of digital currencies are being slammed yet again, continually dipping. However, it was on this day where NASDAQ looks to allow 24/7 trading, and workers at Wall Street are prepping for such thing. If that goes through, then it should come as no surprise for others to follow. Because trading and investing is hot among Generation Z, perhaps it's time to leave the markets open?

TUESDAY (12/16/2025)

Phillips 66 -6.88%
Valaris Limited -7.18%
PBF Energy Inc. -10.99%
Navan, Inc. -11.86%

Stocks were mixed on Tuesday due to a rough report on jobs. How about this: Warner Bros. rejected Paramount-Skydance's bid and reverts back to accepting Netflix's offer. That's great, but there's a lot riding on that besides getting approval for the purchase. While quantum stocks gained well on this day, Bitcoin and other digital currencies are still running dry. Not a great way to wrap up this year.

Bitcoin continuing its plunge to where its buyers are cashing out. Speaking of cashing out, or not seeing any, Oracle is seeing their debts rise after a poor return on their AI investments—data centers. This downturn continued when Ford reported about canceling their battery deals for EV, causing stocks in South Korea to dip by 7%. Certainly was the toughest day this week.

THURSDAY (12/18/2025)
Market on Close[1]
S&P 500 +0.79%
NASDAQ-100 +1.51%

Insmed Incorporated -16.08%
Inspire Medical Systems, Inc. -19.45%

Even though Oracle is now dealing with massive debt, they and OpenAI got the 'green light' in opening a data center in Michigan. Due to Sam Altman's "code red" declaration, OpenAI struck a deal with colleges integrating AI into the education market, taking an early lead in doing so. While we're in the topic of leading, President Trump has eased regulations on marijuana, kicking up their stocks in an instant. Even though food companies are heading toward integrating more fiber, Chipotle introduces a new high-protein item in their menu. What a rebound from a tough Wednesday.

FRIDAY (12/19/2025)
Market on Close[1]
S&P 500 +0.88%

Amicus Therapeutics, Inc. +30.21%
Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. +30.44%
RXO, Inc. -4.64%
EverCommerce, Inc. -5.82%
NIKE, Inc. -10.32%
Disc Medicine, Inc. -11.50%
Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. -25.94%

What a great closing to end the week! Data center booms has driven tech stocks up, which likely means a glimmer of hope for Oracle. While their stocks are sliding, so is Nike, though as stated earlier, they feel their rebound will "take some time," they say. What about pricing? In fact, it's no longer prices for items and food that many people are worried about: it's jobs. Will there be enough jobs to go around with AI still being at the forefront? It's obvious: people need to work.

MY THOUGHTS AND REVIEW FOR THIS WEEK (12/15/2025-12/19/2025)

Rough start, but things got better—something many of us have said in our lives, isn't it? Hard to say any more about the Netflix-Warner Bros. deal, though on behalf of those purchasing and watching their content on physical media remains to be seen. On the side of tech, you can tell, since we've been reporting, that they've been dictating most of what weekly markets turns out to be. Even though Oracle is facing massive debt with their data center spending, at least things began looking up on Friday. On another note, let's not forget how much electricity and water those AI data centers require. Better get a watch on companies specializing in water. In summary, not too much happened, but as things are looking up, crypto coins are looking down. Not sure how they'll fare out starting in the new year.
