The Numbers Are In (2025): Week 13 Recap

Week 13 featuring scores from Sports.Yahoo.com!

Positioning is key from this week on. Some teams have a shot at landing a spot in the playoffs, while others already know their fate. However, given that this is a week coming off of Thanksgiving break, perhaps we'll see some great plays that'll burn off the calories we've gained, right? It doesn't matter, but what does is winning; what more is there to say? Let's see how the games in Week 13 fared out.

Great play, and defense, by both teams; though Packers won the dinner. This was a great game to start the triple-header for Thanksgiving, as Packers led all throughout. Better yet, Green Bay hit the "Grand Slam" winning all three betting sections. That's something to be thankful for: Packer fans won the game and cashed in a good profit. Happy Thanksgiving to all Packer fans.

This was a see-saw match, though Cowboys prevailed. Better yet, within four days, Dallas defeated both teams that showed up in last season's Super Bowl; that's impressive work. No "Grand Slam" here in this game, but majority of the betting won sided with Cowboys. Having beatened both teams in less than a week, Cowboys sure had a great Thanksgiving day dinner.

NFL.com has this game listed as "Sunday Night Football," despite taking place on Thursday evening. With Joe Burrow back in the lineup, suddenly Dengals were unstoppable. In fact, Bengals took advantage of the turnovers—the cause for Ravens' demise. No "Grand Slam" here as well, but Bengals won most of the betting sections: Money Line and Point Spread. This win by Cincinnati ended Baltimore's five-game winning streak, and while Bengals may unlikely snatch that #1 spot from Steelers, this win might give them a chance.

Despite airing this game on Friday, this game was "Thursday Night Football." Eagles looked solid, but slowly lost steam. Bears still mauled their way as usual, looking more and more like they're heading into the postseason; they make it look easy. Otherwise, this game was "another day at the office," namely after Thanksgiving. For betting, Bears only won Money Line and Point Spread; no "Grand Slam" here. It was an okay game, but this win adds more fuel to the Bears' playoff potential.

This game was quite close the entire time; each team answering back with a score of their own. One of the most impressive plays in this game was Puka Nacua—a one-handed pass reception inside the 15-yard line. Despite losing, that's one of the best plays ever. For the betting, Panthers won Money Line and Point Spread; no "Grand Slam" here. Just "another day at the office," but that one-handed catch by Nacua was truly a pinnacle play from the Rams this season.

The 49ers were too much in this game; Browns only scored one touchdown. Despite being the visiting team, San Francisco were favorites winning Money Line and Point Spread. That's very much it, but this was a needed win by the 49ers, as they're close in snatching that #1 spot from Rams per NFC West.

Talk about putting pressure because with this win, Texans are within distance snatching the #1 spot per AFC South. Interesting how this game ended with a 4-point deficit since the Saints didn't score until second half (third quarter). Other than that, this game was "another day at the office." We know Titans don't have a chance, though they'll obtain a great position in the NFL Draft, but this was a great win by Jaguars. That final score is reflective of what happened with the Raiders-Chiefs game in Week 07. Seattle took all the cake with any leftover crumbs. Seahawks also became the first team hitting that "Grand Slam" and winning all three betting sections for this game. This another one of those much-needed wins, given that along with the 49ers and Rams, they're tied with both teams via Wins column. The race to #1 is getting tighter, and is very much anyone's game.

Raiders were okay this game, but it wasn't enough as you can see. Like with Puka, Brock Bowers had a one-handed pass reception; it was such a great play. THOUGHTS AND REFLECTIONS ON WEEK 13

The only "Grand Slam" that was hit, in part of betting, was Seattle. Other than that, there were three games—three plays—with great one-handed catches. Otherwise, many of these games were "another day at the office." However, as said last week, positioning is key; even if a team with no chance of heading into the postseason can "disrupt" another team's chances. In other words, since the season isn't over, it's important for teams to remain at ease. This is important for some teams fighting for that top position in their conference(s). Chiefs and Eagles may not have a chance, and because of that, we may very well see a new winner this season.

What did you think of the one-handed catches this week? How did your bets/picks do this week? Is your team heading to the postseason? Let's talk about it in the comments section below!
