"Bejeweled 2" (PC)
An extended gameplay of this sequel to the popular gem-matching game of all time. Features more menu options and a larger field of play.

When a game, or even a movie, is very popular among the masses, it is wise to create a sequel for it (unless, of course, you work in Hollywood where you run out of ideas and make sequels out of old films where some should've gotten sequels during its peak).
Along with beautifully composed music tracks, and fresh new graphics, the game now gives you a menu option shown below:
"Classic" is the normal, untimed mode and usually is the most highly recommended option; "Action" mode is like Classic but you must clear as much in the allotted time; "Puzzle" mode is best for those wanting a big challenge when it comes to gem swapping along with the usages of the "Power Gems" and various other obstacles not found on the Classic mode; "Endless" mode is very much an infinite loop of continuous gameplay.
What's different about this game, compared to its first version, is the feature of Power Gems" which is created when you match 4 gems, as opposed to the normal 3 gems. It doesn't stop there: if you match 5 gems, you will be able to create a "Hyper Cube." Power Gems, when created and matched, explodes, thus eliminating any gems surrounding it—upwards of 8 gems. As for the Hyper Cube, whichever gem you try to match it with, it eliminates all gems of that very color on the game board. Both these features add a lot to the intensity of the game.
As for my highest scores, here it is:
Not too bad as I could've surpassed the million mark for the Action mode.
Also, it is possible to beat the game! You can do so playing the "Puzzle" mode and "Action" mode. When doing so, the game's credits roll—something not featured from the first version of the game.
Besides those amazing new features and modes, what more is there to say? It's a simple, fun and timeless game to have. Other than the game itself, the animation and the different backgrounds used during gameplay is so soothing to looking at. It may as well be a mural you find on walls at major metropolitan cities.
Highly recommended!
