Digital currencies struggled a lot this week. While international conflicts are still on-going, local TV is at risk of closure thanks to big tech. Also, there's been plenty of emphasis on space and astronomy. Let's take a look and see what happened this week going into April.

Broadcast rights for big tech, especially with straight-to-consumer subscriptions? There's no reason to get cable TV, which is bad news for local TV networks. Crypto stocks started rough, and talks about buying the dip was floating around this day, but is it still worth it? I suppose it's in the same class as chip stocks which experienced massive sell-offs this day. Above all, tax refunds are up 11% this year. Not that may have had an effect with the mixed market, but I believe today, citizens are watching their coins carefully.

Nike had their earnings released and was able to beat their estimates—$11.28B versus $11.24B. On a better note, price of oil dropped after Iranian president gestures an end to the war. However, on the side of energy, Microsoft, Engine No.1, and Chevron sign a power supply deal. Is something the matter with our electrical grid? Anthropic, on this day, sign a deal with Australia on AI safety and economic data tracking. Overall, this was the best day for markets.

Trump administration has sued states that block prediction market regulations. It's like everything has been "gamified," hasn't it? In an area we don't report very often, mortgage rates rise for 5th straight week resulting above 6%. Home ownership is the goal, but will this be met in our lives? Microsoft plans to invest $10 billion in Japan for both AI and cyber defense expansion. After the Japanese Prime Minister showed great partnership and connection with President Trump, it's no surprise that American companies are now looking to expand their business with the land of the rising sun.
Markets closed. Happy Good Friday!
Another weird week. Just when crypto was about to hit its stride, it's plunging and drying up. However, due to connecting retirement with digital currency, looks like we may see more of it in the future. Would now be the time to buy dips? Also, especially on this Good Friday, Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated that within a decade, we'll see extraterrestrial data centers. On the other hand, reports state that data centers are making our planet warm. How do we cool them off: ocean water? I feel that those talks about AI bubble bursting may come back, as plenty of consumers, especially on the YouTube space, are expressing their fatigue with AI. It does have some good use, but for how long and what remains to be seen. Mind you, AI is said to be humanity's last and final invention. Like the Metaverse, if the populace shuns AI, then what? Life is happily ever after? We shall see.
How did you do this week? Are you still invested in crypto? Will OpenAI still be relevant as we approach the halfway point of 2026? Let's talk all about it in the comments section below!
