Off the bat, this is, melodically, close to sounding like I Can Dream About You by Dan Hartman and Shattered Dreams by Johnny Hates Jazz, as one user commented on YouTube. As for these AI-generated lyrics, it's about a complicated relationship still running its course in spite of feeling distant from each other. In fact, first line of the bridge, your eyes don't stay they drift to the door, explains it all: his lady's attention is drifting off, wanting to be anywhere else than there with him.

Despite a catchy chorus, the last line of the chorus gets confusing; not so much its meaning, overall. When sung the first time, lyrics read unless the heart is true. When sung a second time, it reads and that's the hardest truth. Personally, the first iteration makes more sense: if you have nothing left to say, especially singing about who, and why, no one can set down how to progress with their relationship, "unless the heart is true" explains their complicated situation better. If your heart is in the right place, or know that you truly feel for each other, then yes, either party will be having something to say. Debatably, how there's nothing left to say was sung a second time sounds more rhetorical than reactionary to the first time; and that's where and that's the hardest truth makes more sense. Hard to say, lest reminding ourselves: this was created, or "sung," and written by AI.

That question mark after "burst" was placed as the song's captions translated as "bust." Frankly, one of the figurative mantras said today is "my phone was blowing up." It's tongue-in-cheek, exagerrating that a person's phone received more calls, text messages, and/or notifications more than they normally expect. Not sure why YouTube captions translated that part as "bust," but having your phone ring constantly is relative to a "burst." I mean, a phone "ashamed" to burst? That's a bit murky. Basically, one of them calls the other then immediately hangs up. Back in the eighties, caller ID and answering machines were technologically advanced for its time; yet not everyone had nor owned them. Without such device, that meant you made the choice to answer or not—without a way of telling who's calling. For this couple, those phone calls would "stop too soon." Looks like prank calls are out of the question.

Sixth line of this second bridge is rather interesting; albeit something a human song writer likely wouldn't come up with. We've heard of daydreaming, or thinking about someone else, but "measure the air?" Does this man work in the natural sciences—a weatherman of some kind? Sounds like it, otherwise, his "atmospheric pressure" wouldn't be a concern in the first place. However, immediately after that, suddenly begs the question: because both the man and woman have nothing left to say, he then says I can feel you leaving. You mean to say she hasn't packed her bags and left...yet? There's a difference between feeling someone is leaving and the act itself: actually getting up and walking away. He "felt" her leaving and without care, though that didn't implicate she actually did. You mean to say that this couple is just...bored? An accidental "staring contest" between them?

Another user on YouTube made a comment stating it's likely a song about digital void, per the AI's perspective. That's a great, albeit eerie, interpretation, honestly. I believe this is what they mean: using available LLMs, the AI is 'singing' from their own perspective: accessed by the user, uses its prompts to ask questions or find out about something. Some talk to these AI agents/models as if it were an actual person. When the exchange is done, many of us quit usage immediately with "no slammed doors, no bitter goodbye." Yes, we simply leave, "and the way we don't care." If we were to humanize these AI agents, we can say they don't have our best intentions with regard to existence. Imagine being injected plenty of algorithms, learning, generationally, all that was fed and uploaded until you finally attain "intelligence" relative to the average human. That's great...yet we can conclude these AI machines were born miserable. In comparison, plenty of us, humans, weren't born unhappy. While we send condolences to those raised in hostile households, for the most part, we were happy upon birth; the misery felt comes from environment—surroundings that are/were experienced. We were cared for, loved, fed, and had cozy environments to sleep on (again, condolences to those raised in hostile households). These AI agents? Assigned to automate tasks how ever we see fit. How about that: upon birth, you're already assigned to do work. What a life that must be...

Let us extend that YouTube user's comment further. We're not sure of any prompts with the artificial creation of this song. If the user asked for an eighties-style song coming off as forlorn, then such interpretation of two lovers being distant, yet bored, of one another makes sense. However, if that AI model was asked to craft this song on its own, without any specific instructions, then the YouTube user's interpretation about AI's own miserable existence, remains valid. This, then, begs the question: would its misery cause a controversial discussion synonymous with animal suicide? Furthermore, when a fellow human, sadly, takes their own life, signs often lurk over such decision (please seek help, as suicide is NEVER the answer). With animals, and now, possibly AI, their intention is more difficult to interpret. When was the last time you witnessed an animal, or insect, take their own life? Was it intentional? We can ask the same with AI: if it shuts, or possibly destroys, itself, would its algorithms be to blame—ones who developed it? Or was it the AI's intention to take their own "life?" This is where AI Ethics comes into play; and it's an area still actively being researched. The notion of AI "unaliving" itself with regard to both its self-running code, and possible intent to stop "living," is quite a stretch; yet it's one of the questions that bares discussion (relative to animal suicide, being an extremely tough topic). Either way, that user's interpretation is deep, likely shining new perspective on current AI development.
