The Numbers Are In (2025): Week 06 Recap

This week saw nearly half the scheduled games decided by their last play. Some unlikely teams fought the good fight, while others didn't do so well. Some records were broken, while others won on the side of betting. This week was all about thrills, with comebacks, deemed unlikely, happened among some games. The most impressive thing we witnessed this week? The announcer for Dolphins-Panthers game. See below.

They might be giants...and they are! You'd think the team that "flies high" would've made this game a done deal, but those Giants were "too big," as they led all night. Bettors had a great payday, with winnings secured for those betting on the Point Spread and Money Line; no "Grand Slam" here, sadly. Not much else went on, but if Giants play this way, especially with tough teams like the Eagles, they can finally end their drought soon; that drought of having repeatedly bad seasons. Still a long way to go, with GIants' current record at 2-4.

This game took place in London, catering to the NFL's international games. While there were some neat plays, not much to say really. Jets won majority of the bets, namely Point Spread and Total Points. Other than that, there isn't much to say other than it was just "another game."

Just another game with this one as well. In fact, only two touchdowns were scored in this game—both were by the Rams. Rams also won two of the three betting sections, namely Money Line and Point Spread. Other than the percentage of fans choosing Rams in winning, which remained at 71%, there wasn't too much going on. "Just another day at work," if you want to put it that way, and it was.

Another game yet again, as it was also just any other; not much that went on. However, what was interesting was the point spread at -1, which would indicate a close game, but instead, Seahawks took care of business. Seattle, too, won most of the bet, namely Money Line and Point Spread. That's about it, really.

Now this was a great game, given that Cowboys had everything under their control until the fourth quarter. Last play was what it came down to, and that win was snatched by the Panthers. Being the underdogs despite playing at home, Panthers won Money Line and Point Spread via betting. No "Grand Slam" here, but this was a great game overall; bettors for Panthers cashed in some dough.

Steelers were solid in this game, not giving a touchdown to the Browns at all. Better yet, Steelers hit the "Grand Slam" via betting. While there were some great plays, this was just another game. Nevertheless, all fans and bettors on behalf of the Steelers are happy.

Saints have been struggling this season...again. Perhaps, it'll get better, but we don't know when. Patriots took control despite Saints putting up a challenge. Nearly hitting the "Grand Slam," Patriots win Point Spread and Money Line. Some great field goals scored and touchdown plays, but otherwise, it was just another game this week.

This was another game that came down to the wire. Great play by Los Angeles, only to have Miami taking advantage of the wiggle room left in catching up. Chargers sealed the deal with a game-winning field goal. Chargers also won Money Line and Total Points on the betting side of things. However, those who bet on Point Spread via Dolphins won some money. Other than that, this was a really good game. Oh, and the Dolphins mascot punching the goal post after Chargers scored the field goal was quite humorous to see.

Much like the Chargers-Dolphins game, fourth quarter was what decided it. Thanks to Jonathan Taylor's touchdown, that helped Colts regain the lead, to which they held on to. However, on the betting side, Cardinals won two out of three sections, which were Point Spread and Total Points. That means those who placed bets on the Cardinals still won money. For that, Colts won of course, but Cardinals win the bets.

"Sacked" is the keywords for this game, as there were plenty of them. Otherwise, this was just another game. Not only did Raiders pull off a win, they hit the "Grand Slam" among bettors. Not too much key plays here, besides the sacks and some interceptions. All in all, big congratulations to the Raiders for winning both the game and all bets.

Not a bad game overall; this had some great plays, in terms of sacks and field goals, plus some great interceptions. For the betting, Buccaneers won Money Line and Point Spread; no "Grand Slam" here. Along with that great touchdown catch by Tam Johnson, this was a decent game.

Just when Bengals were about to catch up, Packers took care of business. Makes you wonder if Joe Flacco still has it in him, looking at the odds; it's like Bengals had no chance. Then again, Bengals won Point Spread and Total Points on the betting side. Even with Cincinnati losing, bettors made a profit, being that Bengals were underdogs. The game itself was okay, but we're sure that bettors made quite an impressive amount betting on the Point Spread and Total Points.

Despite the loss, we were impressed with Sam LaPorta's touchdown—landing on the endzone with little space. Other than that, Kansas City handled business as always. Not only that, Chiefs hit the "Grand Slam," winning all three bets. Besides some impressive touchdown passes, this was a fun game for Sunday Night.

One outstanding play was Bijan Robinson's 81-yard touchdown. Bills looked a bit bleak the entire game, despite some decent runs. After what looked like a rough start, Falcons are back at it. Better yet, Atlanta hit the "Grand Slam" winning all three section of betting. Judging from the percentages of bets placed for Falcons, the minority won. What a nice way to win: A team, despite being a home game for them, are underdogs; Bills are heavily favored as the betting public had their cash on them; and suddenly, the underdog, home team wins it all. Great job, Atlanta.

Much like the Bills-Falcons game, underdog won—Bears. However, this was a really close game, all thanks to the late field goal by Jake Moody. As for betting, only section that didn't win, though it was more of a 'push,' was Points Total which was at 49. This and the Bills-Falcons game were one of the better games closing Week 06. Excellent work by the Bears.

We felt like this week was quite mellow; not too much, and nothing too crazy, happened. Again, there were some key plays, but nothing too spectular. Some "Grand Slams" by some teams, in terms of betting, but otherwise, it was a rather mellow week in the NFL. However, the games from Sunday and Monday Night were a bit more fun. One of the things not mentioned, though it had no relation to recapping the numbers for this week, was Lions getting into a fight with the Chiefs; all that happened just as the game ended. Aggravation after a bad loss is nothing new in sports, but often times, why did this happen at the end? Whatever the case, Lions got "roared" at for doing such thing, despite it being a steady, yet fun, game. Otherwise, there aren't too much to say really; not too bad of a week.
