Texas Smokehouse Sweet Tangy BBQ Sauce
That smoky flavor, along with hints of those burnt brisket ends, is what makes this sauce worth getting.

We've been on a barbecue sauce kick lately, and trying this brand was no exception. Sure, there are plenty of different flavors out there, and because they may all likely taste the same, brands like these stand out; also in part for us tasting and reviewing here on KCU Network. Now that we're here, what makes this something to consider compared to other brands? This is Texas Smokehouse sweet, tangy BBQ sauce by Private Selection!
Barbecue sauces need no introduction. For those easing up on their spicy intakes, or generally a huge fan of this, barbecue sauces give your meal(s) that 'bite' you can't get with other condiments. Add some sweetness, or spice if you prefer, and you have a great-tasting addition you can't ignore. This item is very savory—something that would make your mouth water. The tangy contents aren't too much, and the sweetness is just right. We love how the label states that there are "rich and smoky notes of burnt brisket ends" with this sauce because you certainly can taste it. Once this sauce is applied, whether used a condiment or marinade, you can taste some of that smoky goodness. It may not come off as something coming fresh off a grill, but you'll know this sauce was perfectly blended and seasoned with that smoke flavor. Barbecue sauces generally lean more toward the sweet side, and sometimes a little pepper-y kick, so you'll find that this also doesn't taste too salty. This bottle of barbecue sauce was so good, we finished ours within a week; it's that good and delicious.
Priced at $4, this may seem expensive, but here's why we recommend it: no high fructose corn syrup. We're no dieticians, but if you've eaten enough foods without high fructose corn syrup, you'll notice your stomach doesn't "feel weird" when you eat. From our experience, having tasted something with high fructose corn syrup triggered that weird feeling, in terms of digestion. We've avoided such ingredient recently, and depending your diet, it's best to stay away from products that include high fructose corn syrup anyway. There's no shame in reading the ingredients, and even if you have to pay a few extra dollars just to get something healthier, so be it. Better yet, see if you can make it yourself (one day, we'll plan to whip up our own barbecue sauce, as we've never done it before). There are cheaper brands of barbecue sauces, some around $2 or less, but we went with this since it didn't include high fructose corn syrup.
Like Stubb's BBQ sauce, we were very happy with this from Private Selection (Stubb's, however, is strong on the tangy flavor, if that's something you'd prefer). This item tastes just right—not too overpowering in its ingredients. Yes, there's a bit of kick from this, but it's more sweet and tangy and nothing too strong. You're looking at another great barbecue sauce for your pantry and we're impressed with it. Highly recommended!
