With all due respect to the late, great pro wrestler Randy Savage, it's about time we snap into one: Slim Jim!

Snacks like this is one of those that defined my childhood, straight up, along with Saturday morning cartoons, and many other nostalgic things that kept us occupied during childhood. Besides the change of the logo design, this stick of beef jerky has not disappointed since. Every time you get your teeth to rip into a bite of the jerky, you feel more awesome....and manly. (If you're female, you felt more badass yet rebellious. I like that.)

Being that this is the original flavor, it's everything you expect from Slim Jim. At times, the jerky has some tangy taste which makes for a funky blend with the beef and all the flavors included to make this product. However, it makes sense since this is a stick of beef jerky, not a strip, and the tangy taste is there to add balance. Other than that, the taste has not changed; The saltiness of the jerky has been cut down just a tad, due to consumers' concerns with salty/sugary intakes among their favorite snacks so that's a good thing.

It's been this long but finally we've gotten around to reviewing this. Make your break time from school/work a snap...into a SLIM JIM! 'OH YEEEAAAAAAHH!'
