Nothing like a good ol' hot dog to get you through the day. That sense of satisfaction when re-fueling makes you feel like a superhero, able to get through your day no problem. When it comes to delicious meals, this is no exception. You're looking at our very first kosher product review here on KCU Network because we're looking at Hebrew National!
Preparing hot dogs is a no brainer; almost anyone who knows their way around the kitchen would find this just easy as cooking instant ramen noodles. The way we prepared this was by boiling water; you are welcome to choose how ever method you like, from microwaving/airfrying to grilling (if we had to choose, grilling would be best out of the three). Much to our want in grilling, giving that my current living situation doesn't have space for a dedicated grill, the boiling-water method was what we did to prepare these. After these were cooked, we tried them for the first time, and right away, they tasted lean, juicy, and tender. At 400+mg of sodium, these hot dogs did not taste salty at all (for others, taste buds and/or diet may vary). Our favorite part was the slight 'snap' you get when biting into these, though the casing isn't too thick when taking a bite. The meat itself is tender with hints of spice to it. Certainly is better than other brands hot dogs we've tried, most of which tastes gelatinous with bits of bone and tendon in it. We'd rather eat this Hebrew National brand instead.
This food is also suitable for kids! Be sure to follow the instructions on the package when preparing them (see PRODUCT INFO below).
The last kosher item we had was Morton's kosher salt. This product is the first kosher item, in a long time, that we've tried and happily enjoyed. We can't think of anything else, other than give this a try! We'll definitely pick up another one of these in the near future.
- Can be boiled, microwaved, airfried, or grilled.
- Great 'snap' with not too thick a casing.
- Very tender, lean, and clean, compared to other brands which tastes gelatinous, has hints of bone and tendon (are consumers aware of that?).
