Herr's: Stubb's Sticky Sweet BAR-B-Q Flavored Cheese Curls

Balance is key. Even when you're eating your usual diet, there's nothing wrong with snacking. Here's something that should give your taste buds something different: barbecue cheese curls by Stubb's! Known for their barbecue sauce, we went ahead, gave this a try and see if their signature sauce can be tasted through these curls—puffs as these are also called. No disappointment here!

It's a gamble when certain brands venture into another kind of market. For this barbecue brand selling snacks, it was worth the risk. The taste of these curls are savory, has a slight kick, with hints of that smokey, barbecue flavor. The taste itself was what made us into fans, so much so that we may not likely consider other "plain" cheese curls anymore; it's that good, as we find that barbecue compliments cheese nicely. Not one cheese curl tasted bland on the bag we tried, so rest assured, you're getting a true quality snack with that wonderful barbecue flavor.

Not all products are created equal. Saying that, unfortunately, as similar to brands like Lays®, the amount of curls sold in each bag are less than half (<2 ¾ ounces). Because of that, you'll likely finish an entire bag quickly before you finished your lunch, assuming you've paired this snack with a meal. Folks online aren't afraid to tell it straight up, as this article from Business Insider talks about "slack-fill"—a term describing air filling up snack bags, fooling consumers thinking they're receiving more portions of food than what they're getting. It's ridiculous, plus with prices going up and portions getting small, no wonder top newspapers in the country are releasing reports blaming us, the consumers/customers, for slow business growth. What a feeling: being blamed for our dissatisfaction over the service(s) and product(s) we buy!

Don't let a half-empty bag deter you to try this. The taste is unique; something that ought to stand out from other cheese curls. This isn't to say it's gourmet-quality, but the taste is something you'll enjoy; like enhancing a modern-day snack making it original, so to speak. Of all cheese curl snacks we've reviewed so far, this is one of the better one out there. If you're looking for something different to fill your cheese curl fix, give these a try!
